Shankar's Nanban and Lingusamy's Vettai got overwhelming response from the audience in the first week but somehow the movies seem to have lost its steam in the second week. The collections of both the Tamil movies have not only slowed down in the Domestic Box Office but also at the International Box Office.
In the UK Box Office, Nanban, which was released in 24 screens, scored £30,873 in 13 screens, in the second week totalling its overall collections to £1,88,043 (approx. Rs 1.47 crores). The movie saw close to 50% drop in the last week. However, the per show average stands at £2,375. Whereas, Vettai has managed to collect £4,575 in 3 screens. The total collection stands out at £33,192 (approx. Rs 25.89 lacs) and the per screen average working out to £1,525. It earned earned £17,605 (Rs 13.86 lacs) in 15 screens.
In the Australian Box Office, Nanban has garnered A$10,001 in 7 screens. The movie managed to earn approximately Rs 16 lakhs in the second weekend. In the first week, it earned A$76,580 (approx. Rs 40.59 lacs). The average per show average stands at A$1,429 and the total collection of the movie stands at Rs 56 lacs. On the other end, Vettai has earned A$283 in 6 screens and the total collection stands at A$12,710 (approx. Rs 6.71 lacs).

Few websites mentioned that Nanban crossed Rs 50 Crore collections on opening weekend. Today, producers revealed that Nanban collected a Nett of Rs 20 Crore at India Box-office on opening weekend(i.e. first 4 days of release).
